Located at the historic site of the original castle distillery within the Lubovna castle’s estate, Castle Distillery proudly upholds the age-old tradition of crafting spirits. Our aim is to carry forward this rich legacy and share this hidden treasure nestled under the castle with everyone.

History

History reveals that spirits have been crafted in Spis since the Bronze Age. Furthermore, without Maria Theresa, fruit farming would most likely never have become a tradition. It’s this very legacy that empowers us to continue the traditions of our ancestors.

Fruit Orchards

A castle distillery would be nothing without its orchard. Under the Lubovna castle, not one, not two, but three fruit orchards once thrived. Soon, one of them will spring back to life, abuzz with bees and the delightful scent of fresh fruit.
